Our Model

Life House Atlanta will provide temporary relief in a warm, inviting atmosphere especially designed for both respite and palliative stays,  It will be a home where “kids can be kids,” interacting with other children, engaging in simulating and fun-filled activities. Each child will have a private room while parents and siblings have the option to stay in family suites where they can spend quiet time away from the demands of round-the-clock caregiving at home.  Family members will have a breather from the routine care of their loved one, will have the time to network with other families or take a much needed vacation to recharge their batteries.  A stay at Life House Atlanta will have a positive impact on the whole family, and create memories to cherish for a lifetime.

At Life House Atlanta, skilled medical professionals will take care of the child just as he/she is taken care of at home by parent caregivers.

Families and their children will be guests without charge for temporary stays for up to 30 days per year.

In addition to respite and palliative care, Life House Atlanta will also provide end-of-life care should the family desire.

Trained volunteers will consistently engage the children in the following recreational activities: music, art, hydrotherapy, and sensory activities.
