THE VISION
Caregiver Rest & Recovery.
-
In 2022, 42319 babies were born in Georgia. Of these babies over 3% or 1397 babies presented with birth defects. Those babies with complex medical conditions must be cared for either at home or in hospital with no other options available. Primary caregivers are usually family members, mainly parents and siblings. The physical and mental stress of round-the-clock caregiving puts a tremendous strain on family life.

Life House Atlanta will provide temporary relief in a warm, inviting atmosphere. It will be a home where “kids can be kids,” interacting with other children and engaging in fun-filled activities while family members take a breather from routine care. A stay at Life House Atlanta will have a positive impact on the whole family and create memories to cherish for a lifetime.
-
The demands of 24/7 care leave little time for parent or guardian caregivers to work or rest, resulting in a heavy toll on their physical and mental health.
Caregivers report feeling isolated and worried about their financial future and the mental well-being of other siblings in the home.
Life House Atlanta will offer a warm, inviting sanctuary where medically fragile children enjoy fun-filled activities and private rooms while their families have a vital opportunity to refresh and recharge.
